Capturing the spirit and character of your furry friends

Welcome to the Ruth McGrady Pet Artist , I do hope you find everything you are looking for, if not please feel free to contact me..

Pets bring an enormous amount of joy to our lives, and are so much more than a furry, scaly or feathered friend – they’re a much-loved member of the family who we create and share memories with.  Which is why I take so much care to capture the spirit and character of your special furry friend, because when you get your painting I want you to see your pet looking out at you.

I have a 100% cry rate so far!!

Why Commission a Portrait of Your Pet?

It’s the perfect way to capture your pet at their most loveable, loyal or engaging and a beautiful lasting reminder of all the great times you’ve shared together.

Getting a portrait of your special furry friend is a personal thing.  You want to be sure that the artist you have commissioned will capture what you see every day (personality, character and spirit), which is why I take extra care to ensure that happens.  I want you to look at the finished portrait and see your pet looking back at you.

What Happens Next?

It’s really important that I understand who your pet is, which is why I spend time looking at photos and chatting to you about your furry friend.  I like to get to know them, to feel that your pet is my pet.  That way, I can capture who they really are.

Best Birthday present ever!

“When I heard Ruth speak about her portraits and saw some examples, I knew a portrait of our dog could be the best birthday present ever for my wife. I wasn’t wrong!
Ruth was brilliant from start to finish. Regularly keeping me updated and checking that I was happy with the progress, and that the finished portrait had the desired effect. My wife burst into tears when she opened the wrapping. I couldn’t recommend Ruth and her portrait service enough”! Matt Hill
